Description
SANDY DENNY and the STRAWBS "All Our Own Work" rare UK prog folk psych lp
Pickwick/ Hallmark 1973 U.K.
vg+/ ex .cover has a few light creases, very light edge wear along top. light ring imprint back cover, but overall quite nice.Record looks pristine.
Released in 1973, this lp features some excellent pre-Fairport Convention work from Sandy Denny, early 1968 recordings she did with the Strawbs (some of their earliest work as well) with her voice in full form. Crisp. warm. slightly reverby recordings help convey the full presence of her beautiful vocals, still a while before her singing graced the now-legendary early Fairport lps and "Battle of Evermore" on Led Zeppelin IV. The one track here she is credited with composing, "Who Knows Where the Time Goes," was to be an eventual staple in Fairport Convention's reportoire. All in all an essential ( and rare) trove of "missing link" material in the careers of both Sandy Denny and The Strawbs.
