So now there is this album as a noble version, compared to the European Pressung in the cover (with texts). Here is the text on the music itself: It needs a shaman, like Carlos Santana, to bring together musicians like Placido Domingo and Macy Gray on one album! And it is also necessary for the connection of Latin, soul, pop, rock, world music to just to an opera voice and a shaman, so as not to get bogged down. "Shaman" is undoubtedly a good pop album with many facets, although it has little to do with the Santana anno 1970 ("Abraxas" !!!). Hier noch einmal der Text zur Musik selbst: Es benötigt schon einen Schamanen, etwa einen wie Carlos Santana, um Musiker wie Placido Domingo und Macy Gray auf einem Album zu vereinen! Und es ist auch für die Verbindung von Latin, Soul, Pop, Rock, Weltmusik bis eben hin zu einer Opernstimme auch ein Schamane erforderlich, um sich da nicht zu verzetteln. "Shaman" ist zweifellos ein gutes Popalbum mit vielen Facetten, wenngleich es nur noch wenig mit dem Santana anno 1970 ("Abraxas"!!!) zu tun hat. Doch wem "Supernatural" gefallen hat, dem wird dieses neue Werk ganz sicher auch zusagen.
