Two LPs, original pressing from 1996 on IRMA CASA DI PRIMORDINE, IRMA 483800-1. Pressed exclusively in Italy by a small label based in Bologna, the CD issue was pressed by Ronnie Scott’s club's record label, Jazz House. The two 180 Gram records are stored in a plain cover, nice artwork on the labels ( see pics ). Mrs.Morris used to sing background for the Communards, her low vocal range contrasting nicely with Jimmy Somerville’s falsetto. This is the ultrarare vinyl-edition of an amazing set of jazz, soul & blues, recorded live at Ronnie Scott's Club, London on 15th September 1994. At that time S.J.Morris was heavily pregnant ( she dedicates the album to her son Otis Jack, born 3.2.1995, on the back the cover ), wich might have influenced her laidback and emotional approach to tunes written by Tom Waits, Paul Weller, Sting, Jimi Hendrix, Lenny Kravitz, Bobby Womack a.o. plus some selfpenned songs. Great voice, great tracks, great sound and extremely rare – definetly worth to be discovered !

Condition: both records look mint--/ex++, both play in mint- all the time. The cover has intact seams/spine with rub, there's ring- & corner- & some general wear, overall vg- .

Grading & Cleaning:

• the record has been cleaned on my professional HANNL record cleaning machine

• after that I playgraded it (completely or at least in parts) on my Rega Planar 9, Moving Coil cartridge by EINSTEIN:TU-3 Super Fine Line ( please consider that the playback might differ a bit depending on your own equipment )

• I also visually graded the record under a strong light

• only an unplayed record is mint, the highest grading for a used record is mint- ! My basic gradings are: mint – ex – vg.

• cleaned records are stored in a new deluxe innersleeve and they are placed in a new PVC protection-sleeve !
