Description
Savoy Brown Blues Band LP - Shake Down - first mono pressing from 1967 on Decca, catalogue number LK 4883, matrix numbers ARL 7887 -1A and ARL 7888 -1A.

The record is in Near Mint condition. It has hardly a mark on it, just a very feint one on track 2 side 1 - and it does not make a sound. It plays brilliantly, with no jumping, sticking or skipping, and just a tiny amount of crackle here and there, and the odd click and pop. The labels are almost perfect. There is only one spindle mark on each side - it is clear it has only been played a handful of times.
I'm sure it has been said before, but I believe it would be extremely difficult to find a better copy than this.
The sleeve is in EX- condition, and it really has only a few minor defects, so perhaps EX would be more accurate, but I am erring on the side of caution. There is a small dink just over halfway up the opening edge; there is a small amount of creasing at the bottom left corner of the front; both front and back have minor ringwear; and finally, halfway up the right hand side, at the bottom of the window, there is some residue of where a price label has been. I know it was a price label, because I removed it. It can really only be seen when the sleeve is tilted in the light, and with careful application, it may be possible to remove it.
Overall, a superb example of this collectable record. I am certain the winning bidder will not be disappointed.
