Description
SAVOY BROWN Jack the Toad - original 1973 UK Decca LP 1st press, gatefold cover
Decca TXS 112, 1973 UK issue, matrix numbers SAHS 1642.P-1W, SAHS 1643.P-1W; laminated gatefold cover.
Cover EX/EX+ An overall exceptionally fine appearance to this laminated gatefold sleeve but with these points to note: some light foxing on the inside panels; a bump across all four open edges at one spot; some curvature of the panels, particularly the rear.
Original Decca inner sleeve in very sound condition, light creasing and age-related glue stains. Disc supplied in a new poly-lined inner.
Disc EX/EX+ The disc has a high gloss finish with, on side 1, a long patch of light surface marking set off against the gloss. This has no effect on play, which is superb throughout, almost like new. The Decca pressing and production delivers the usual deep clear, well-rounded sound. Green Decca labels are excellent, a few small transparent spots on side 2.
