SAVOY BROWN UK LP SHAKE DOWN 1967 FIRST STEREO PRESSING 1965 SKL4883 RARE

I am parting with some of my treasured LPs.  Here's a first UK STEREO pressing of SAVOY BROWN'S LP from 1967, SHAKE DOWN.  This was the first LP that Savoy Brown would release, and was not released in America until a CD version was printed in 1990.  The Red Label Mono pressing was released the same year, but more fans opted for this stereo version.  This was after all at the time of Sgt Peppers, and other great sounding LPs, and thus was also a time when people were looking for better stereo systems.  Stereo recordings were considered then superior to the older mono recordings.  Decca produced a "Full Frequency Stereo Sound".  This LP SKL4883 has the;

This is a great first effort LP, and one worth searching out for your collection. The UK FLIPBACK cover shows a small bend or 2 and some pings to some corners, and ring wear on front and back.  The spine is very nice condition with a mark or 2 where there was a small cover bend..  The LP shows spindle wear on side 2 and there is a mark on the label of side 2.  It's a somewhat hard LP to grade because while the LP plays and sounds great, there are visible hairlines.  
 It's a rare LP, and great first effort from an early British blues rock band.

I love original pressings because I feel every LP is of it's time and place. The vinyl, and record pressings are all from that moment in time, and no re-pressing or re-mastering will ever make the sound better for me.  PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER LPS FOR SALE NOW ON EBAY.  I AM POSTING SOME TREASURES.  SOME ARE RARE AND COLLECTIBLE, AND OTHERS ARE JUST GREAT ALBUMS LIKE THIS ONE IS.
SS    = (STILL SEALED) The record itself is in brand new condition, assumed never to have been played.

M      = (MINT)  The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, 
booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

M -    = (MINT MINUS)  MINT- is not MINT but is very close to it, near new, there might be a blemish or two, but overall record and jacket are like new or very close to new.

EX     = (EXCELLENT)  The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight 
wear and / or creasing. 

VG    = (VERY GOOD)  The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the
occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

G      = (GOOD)  The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and 
contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

F       = (FAIR)  The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will 
be torn, stained and / or defaced.

P       = (POOR)  The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

B       = (BAD)  The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler

We also use + or - to adjust grades in between, so...this scopes out to: SS/M/M-/EX+/EX/EX-/VG+/VG/VG-/G+/G/F/P/B
