Catalogue number: SAX 2254-56, First press with blue/silver labels.
Comes complete with 12 page booklet.
Released in 1961 this set comes complete and even includes
its original cardboard dividers and original tissue paper.
Even the inner sleeves are in superb original condition.
There is a clipping from The Gramophone about Falstaff but is not contemporary
with the set but is included for interests sake.
Vinyl Grade: The LP's grade as EX and still retain there original 50 year old sheen.
There are a couple of dust statics which really is nothing over 6 sides
and side two has a couple of the lightest tics at the very start.
There are absolutely NO MAJOR PROBLEMS with this desirable set.
NO repetitive clicks, no lessening of the superb sound quality.
For the most part the records all play absolutely silently except where noted above.
Lovely barely touched labels with no writing and only a hint of wispy spindle marks.
The box is EX though and has its original red/gold
EMI STEREOPHONIC RECORDING sticker attached to the box..
I play all my records in their entirety and do not
sample (i.e. guess) how they might sound
