Partial replay, THIS is very clean,NO  paper scuffs visible in Sunlight. Photo's  taken in full sunlight and flash, and nothing is visible to me or the camera. Only a few of the softest pips generally on these lp's .

All pressed in the early 1960's and weighed at 150 + gms per LP

HOWEVER THE DOWNSIDE FOR MOST OF YOU THAT WILL MAKE THIS AFFORDABLE IF YOU GENUINELY WANT A COPY OF THIS PERFORMANCE ON A T/S LABEL COLUMBIA IS THAT THE UK STAMPERS FOR THIS WENT TO AUSTRALIA TO MAKE THE PRESSING. (Stock number on label SAXO 2369-72,

(O added to denote pressed in Australia), BUT I'D RATHER HAVE THIS THAN A SLIGHTLY CRACKLY UK PRESS IF I WANT GREAT MUSIC. AND YOU KNOW THE VINYL QUALITY IS PRETTY GOOD IF I DO SAY SO MYSELF (AS AN AUSSIE, UNBIASED AS I MAY BE.......) I have sold some OZ pressed Columbias to discerning buyers around the world, some for over 150GBP, for really rare ones, and comments returned to me were they were VERY nice pressings, and comparable to the UK ones, especially considering the perceived value difference.  This is  ONLY  the 2nd SAX OR SAXO 2369-72 I have seen in Australia.

ALSO NOTE THESE PRESSINGS ARE PRESSED SO THEY COULD BE PLAYED ON ONE OF THOSE RECORD AUTO STACKERS, (BUT FORTUNATELY, THIS SET NEVER WAS), LET ALONE PLAYED AT ALL BY THE LOOK OF THEM.

THE UK PRESSINGS i BELIEVE WERE CONSECUTIVE (IE sax 2369 WAS SIDE 1 AND 2 NOT 1 AND 8  ETC)

COVER CONDITION   NM- same artwork as the UK box, stock number on spline says SAXO  and it is quite neat. (not even the usual brown staining along glue edges near seams or laminate!!!!) Only minor blemishes are-

1. some of the glued downpaper cover of the box is starting to lift at edges, but no rubs or cornersplits

LP CONDITION Near Mint  SEE Photo's,Can't even find any  faint spider web scuffs even in sunlight, play test has only infrequent pips and tics as per normal vinyl replay BEAUTIFUL, AND THE DYNAMICS ARE GREAT

SOUND SAMPLE GUIDE First 2 minutes is of opening side 1, then I trfr to the side 8 at 2 minutes 12 seconds, WHICH IS THE REMAINDER OF THE 4 MINUTE 21 seconds SAMPLE IN TOTAL.

booklet (Libretto) which was an optional purchase item priced at 5shillings and sixpence, is in Excellent condition , only some cover thumb bends and two spots with some small pen writing.  NO tears or other damage.

BE aware the sound sample talked about IS A LOW SAMPLE RATE AND accentuates treble (Hence more static crackle that you DON'T hear through your Hi Fi) and is low quality, but you get the idea.

Best value from postage is to purchase more than 2KG as airmail from australia halves in price per 500gm for any excess over 2kg. I regularly send packs upto 9kg to ASIA and that works out as low as 3GBP per LP.  I have 12000 lp's in stock and i think I can find things to make up a bigger pack if you are interested,  then list them as a fixed price sale in your name.

USA buyers, WEIGHT  GOES OVER 500GMS, due to recently enforced air security measures, please note if this is delivered to USA (or Territories) there is now a 9AUD (6GBP) handling surcharge PLUS the normal post charge (x ray search) so USA buyers  THAT is why the postage tab looks so expensive. ASK for sea mail quote, it's cheaper and has no security surcharge, you just gotta wait 3 monthss (Yes...) for the boat to come in
