BRAHMS: A GERMAN REQUIEM
Superb quality 2nd edition of this stereophonic classic on the Columbia red semi-circular label.
Double Lp set of Brahms: a German requiem (Op. 45).
The Philharmonia Orchestra and Chorus conducted by Otto Klemperer with:
Elizabeth Schwarzkopf (soprano) & Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau (baritone).

GRADING
SLEEVE: EX/EX
Sleeves are in really great condition. There is some very slight discolouration to the unlaminated rear of both sleeves and a little bit or residual dirt build up to the laminated flipbacks. Edges are superb with no wear or damage. The spines are perfect being unflattened and clean with no breaks or yellowing.
RECORD: EX+/EX+
There are a couple of inconsequential angel hair marks congruent with the record being removed from the sleeve. Both records sound perfect playing with a clarity and crispness usually reserved for the 1st edition copies.
The above record grading is based on Record Collector magazine system:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
