On a mix of Columbia Semi-circle and blue / silver labels SMS 1013 = SAXS 2446, SAX 2447-50
Simple grading can be misleading, so please read the full description of condition which I hope will be helpful.
Condition: The records are housed in a box in good strong clean condition. No broken seams or corners, a little rubbing to edges. Slight fading of the gold lettering on the spine, but still fully legible. The set has a full illustrated libretto in nice order except it has been annotated with side numbers and artist names. All records have original EMI poly lined inners.
The vinyls all look fine and bright with no obvious marks apart from the customary odd paper scrape, and have clean labels with few obvious spindle marks. They have a mix of labels - one blue/silver and four semi-circles, so presumably the set was put together during Columbia's label changeover. (This seems to be borne out by the fact that some of the semi-circle discs have early 1A 1H 1L mother/stamper numbers suggesting they were pressed quite early, labelled later). All discs sound fine on my system playing with just very light background crackle in places - probably the result of static / almost 50 years' worth of dust. (As with many records of this age, they might benefit from cleaning on professional grade equipment.)
Overall, this is a great copy of the set. I am not a dealer, but would guess that this might be graded as VG+ / EX / EX / EX / EX / VG+ (box/vinyls per RC guidelines)
