Description

SAX 2446-2450 blue/silver – BACH: ST. MATTHEW PASSION – KLEMPERER 

Columbia stereo recording on blue/silver labels catalogue number SAX 2446-2450 (SMS 1013).   Boxed set of 5-LPs (9-sides) with full text booklet illustrated in colour.   Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Peter Pears, Elizabeth Schwarzkopf, Christa Ludwig, etc., with the Philharmonia Orchestra and Chorus conducted by Otto Klemperer.
This set is in fabulous condition.  There are no spindle marks or visible marks on playing surfaces and it has probably never been played.  Booklet is pristine.  Box is excellent with one tiny scuff on front and an area approx. 3cm x 1cm on one side where the paper surface is missing.  It is very unlikely that you would find a better copy unless sealed mint.
