Description
A Debussy Recital by Samson Francois - SAX 2469. A very very very rare record indeed! This classic 1962 British recording on Columbia serial no SAX 2469 is a factory first test pressing white label and is only pressed on one side only - side two. Side one is a blank single unmarked groove. It is a unique disc, possibly the only one in existence. The record has only been played once or twice and is in near mint condition. The sleeve is original and in excellent condition for age with studio pen markings crossing out the side listings on side one, and stating "played" at the top right of the sleeve. Superficial wear to sleeve edge commensurate with age. The white label is hand marked S12 with no stamp mark and an unnumbered index label. The disc is heavy vinyl 170g. This is a serious collector's item which was inherited from my father in 1986.
