Description
his is another sale from my collection of classical records, which includes early stereo rarities on Decca, Columbia, HMV and RCA.
Recording first published 1964 of Uk Columbia SAX 2566 Red Semi label Bizet L’Arlesienne Suites 1 & 2 and Carmen Suite played by the Paris Conservatoire Orchestra conducted by Andre Cluytens. Sleeve is a flip back. The matrix numbers engraved on the run-out are YLX 1150 21B and YLX 1151 21B.
Grading
Would grade the record visually as VG+. On side 1, there is a light scratch across band 1, one across band 1 through to band 4, and another across the run out. On side 2, there are 3 parallel light scratches across band 1 and 2, another across the run out. It plays well on my Linn Sondek, no skips or jumps. There is light crackle in places and a tick on side 2 band 2. I would audio grade as VG+ also. Sleeve is VG, there are marks and discolouration which I have done my best to show on the photos.
Note that record will be posted in a cardboard record mailer. Sleeve will be in a plastic sleeve, separate from the record and inner sleeve. Record and inner sleeve will be in a card sleeve.
Finally, please note that the posting costs will be as follows
Royal Mail Signed For 2nd Class £4.10 - UK
Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed For £17.50 - Worldwide
