SAXON

Innocence Is No Excuse

1st Press 1985 UK

EMI EJ 24 0400 1

Covers are in very good condition

Vinyl is in excellent playing condition

The cover gives it away a bit. Someone mentioned this was their Def Leppard album and I must say the same thought crossed my mind listening to it. It's still undoubtedly Saxon. But the production is a bit more polished, with a more radio-friendly sound, more upbeat melodies with topics that call on you to stand up and rock rather than the traditional subjects of war or transportation. I'm not really into the party rock lyrics but the music is fine. Back On The Streets has to be one my favourites from Saxon and there are some good riffers like Everybody Up and lets not forget the sobering Broken Heroes.
