Description
On offer is a rare and highly collectable original 1971 UK LP titled - Anne BRIGGS, by the artist of the same name.
Label: TOPIC Records. (Blue/Silver label)
Cat No: 12T.207 (Side 1. label) / 12T 207 (Rear cover & Side 2 label)
Matrix No's: Side (1) 407A - 1A & Side (2) 407B - 1A - Both machine stamped.
The record shows one very light scratch (None feelable) on side 2. (See photos) and the odd faint paper scuff / mark associated with not being carefully taken out of the sleeve carefully when checked under bright light. It has been graded as Very Good +. (VG+)
I am not sure whether this is a cross-over press as there were two label designs associated with this original release. On this copy, the side (1) label shows the cat no. as 12T.207.On side (2), there is a different label indicating this is a MONO press with cat. no.12T207.
The record came in a MONO inner sleeve (9/73). (See photos)
The front laminated cardboard sleeve has some minor hairline lamination creases at the spine and top edge. There is also an area of lamination lift against the spine on the front. (See photos) There is traces of light ring-wear on the rear and some light creasing / rippling to the top left quarter of the sleeve. This could have been caused by previous poor handling / damp?. These issues in no way spoil the overall effect of this iconic sleeve. The spine is still readable and overall it is not too far short of Excellent condition. (EX-)
A scarce and hard to find LP that does not often come up on auction !
