Description
Curtis Jones, RCA Victor Race Series Vol. 9 (RCA RCX-7184) (1966).
The last in the brave mid-'60s series of EPs produced by Mike Vernon and drawn from original Victor and Bluebird masters.
Contains the singer/pianist's entire 1940 Bluebird session: Gold Digger Blues, Sugar Bowl Blues, Solid Jive, Love in a Loving Way.
Autographed by the artist in blue ballpoint pen on the back of the jacket. The seller was present at the time (one of Jones's visits to London in the '60s) and guarantees the authenticity of the autograph.
Condition: disc excellent, with no visible wear or damage. Jacket lamination slightly yellowed at edges, but jacket otherwise clean and undamaged. Very fine copy of this scarce item -- in this autographed form, possibly unique.
