PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. 1974 STONED COSMIC HEAVY PSYCH!
This Is ...
GURU GURU
GERMANY - BRAIN RECORDS - 200.145
= TOP FINAL COLLECTION COPY =
Hard to find 1974 first issue - released only in Germany - with nifty laminated cover ...
This is a powerful heavy Krautrock album drenched in acid overload ...the tracks are culled from their most explosive-impact moments from 1970 thru 1974, yet it's not a 'best of' album ...
And so underground legends Guru Guru hit their peak with this album, a barnstormer of thunderous, fiery acid rock, containing easily the best riffs & psychedelic freakouts that the Krautrock scene had to offer. (1970) "UFO" was a great acid album, and (1971) "Hinten" was a brilliant spaced-out step up, but (1973) "Kanguru" blows them both away with HEAVY ACID-ROCK OVERLOAD. Clearly showing a band at the height of their talents. The Jimi Hendrix influenced guitarist Ax Geinrich lets loose out his finest work, webs of loud feedback fret work aided by dirty- distortion & wah-wah effects...his volume knob turned up to 11,000,000 for some of the tracks, like the insanely heavy Stooges-esque "Immer Lustig", which also features some of the band's more unhinged vocal performances. "Oxymoron" & "Der Elektrolurch" are similar in that they both feature way-out, exaggerated vocals, with stoned-out cosmic jamming over and above the likes of Ash Ra Tempel or Amon Duul II. Elsewhere "Samantha's Rabbit" comes across as a kind of heavy version of something from the "Piper At The Gates of Dawn" outtakes - something that PF might have considered but objected outright. "Woman Drum" begins with something approaching the riff from "Sunshine of Your Love", then goes back into the rock'n'roll inspired sound... quite nasty really.... Simply put and overall: this one wonder-kind of a Kosmische music album ...not a boring moment... - Mani Neumeier / percussion, drums, voice, keyboards- Uli Trepte / bass
- Ax Genrich / guitars, vocals Der Elektrolurch (9:46)
Immer Lustig (15:37)
Samantha's Rabbit (2:54)
Woman Drum (3:57)
Oxymoron (10:33)
