PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Ages old....Long long gone from some 35+ years ago ...the very limited exact to the Peace Records issue by the famous UK Psycho label....the legendary 1970 THE PAISLEYS Lp:::: direct from the analog source (not digitalized) you get all the original warm sound with this pressing!

From 1970 Minneapolis in Minnesota came THE PAISLEYS exibiting truy stunning psychedelic-rock passages ...The most interesting tracks on their album are "Rockin," notable for its use of echoes and sound effects, and the haunting swirling "Wind," which is a fantastic acid-nugget included on Endless Journey, Phase 2. Side two of the album consists entirely of the ambitious, though not entirely convincing Musical Journey.
The band approaches Psychedelia in an earnest, honest style. The lyrics are reminiscent of Tommy Hall/Roky Erickson's 13th Floor Elevators work in some regards as they are quite explicitly 'instructional' or 'journalistic' with regards to Cosmic experience. Tellingly, the most interesting tracks have a curious 'futuristic' feel to them, setting The Paisleys quite apart from whatever their influences may have been (late period psychy Beatles) particularly on one track: "The Wind" = they were clearly on to something, persuing it strongly...
It's hard to contemplate this band's historical place in whatever scene they came up in. With their name and music, The Paisleys clearly were in step with day-glo Nuggets-era happenings, even if those happenings were already 4 years old by the time they themselves recorded. T hey certainly weren't copying anyone in particular. Most crucially, there is a wacky sense of humour throughout 'Cosmic Mind At Play' that sets it apart from heavier offerings, a gentle giggle throughout making it a friendlier soundtrack than some. It's certainly one of the more unusual records out there - one that stands utterly alone on several counts.
Fans of the Elevators and The Golden Dawn would do well to seek out this lesser known offering of late vintage heartfelt American Psychedelic Music. Despite some crummy reviews out there that (thanks, Internet) are being rehashed in some odd places, this album is actually really good and quite noteworthy for even having been made at all
CONDITION: The Cover: The fragile UK cover is exact to the USA issue: Sporting one of the all time great psychedelic designed cover, collectible worthy M- and M- for the trippy back cover. There are no split seams, no bends, no writing...all very stiff and solid.
The Vinyl: both sides retain the original glossy shine, TOP M- and plays perfect with NO audio problems ...both the Psycho labels are both clean...
A cool addition to anyone's music library!
