A Disneyland Record
45 RPM with Picture Sleeve
 1964 Walt Disney Productions
7" Vinyl Single
"This is a Walt Disney 'Little Gem' Record"
Printed in USA

ONE SIDE OF RECORD HAS THE "TRICK OR TREAT" SONG!
Children sing this song. Perfect for Halloween! (M. David-A Hoffman-J. Livingston).

This is a "Single" so there is one song played on each side.

THE OTHER SIDE OF RECORD HAS "THE SCARECROW OF ROMNEY MARSH" SONG! (Terry Gilkyson) THE WELLINGTONS. Men sing this song w/the 'scarecrow' sounding an eerie laugh. From Walt Disney's "Wonderful World of Color".  Scarecrow is "Dr. Syn".

Record plays perfectly on both sides. Record has marks and minor scratches from play wear which does not effect playability.  Picture sleeve is real nice although it has some creases and wear mostly around edges.
Also has a 1" long tear at top of sleeve AND on top side at opening (see pictures). No other tears and no holes. Has original old sticker price from "Woolworth" for "$.39".

I researched this story a little. It's basically about a man (Dr. Syn) who used to be a pirate...he then later wants to settle down from piracy and settle into a descent way of life. He and is friend start out doing well for themselves, but then their community continues to suffer from outrageous tax from England on imported goods. So his friend joins a bunch of folks who are smuggling goods so they don't have to pay tax. Dr. Syn  goes to help his friends and smugglers ...and needs to disguise himself. He passes a scarecrow in a field and takes its clothes for a quick disguise. He helps his friend and the others get away from the authorities. After that he makes a better 'scarecrow' costume...and the smugglers follow his example.  So the rest of the story is how they continue doing this for a living, just to survive...kind of like "robin hood" or "Zorro". At the end, the girl who loves him gets killed in his place (Scarecrow), the enemy gets arrested (wrongly accused of being the 'scarecrow') after girl is killed...then an old shipmate during scarecrows pirate days ends up being the one to kill scarecrow (Dr. Syn). Scarecrow's friend lives to tell the story...to monks.  Great Halloween story since the scarecrow (and smugglers) do all their work at night.  Their costumes are eerie....and when the scarecrow attacks their enemies...it's made to look scary.

International bidders please contact me for shipping costs. Also, international bidders check out your country's customs charges and other fees that are not related to my shipping. Many international buyers will have to pay other fees and charges when they pick up their package at customs.

Don't forget to ask any questions before placing bid. I always offer refunds yet I expect my buyers to be fair. Please contact me before leaving negative or neutral (same as negative) feedback which will hurt my overall rating score and listing visibility. Also, the new rating system is set up for everyone to see so if you feel you can not leave 5 stars in all four categories, please contact me first. I will do whatever I can to correct any problems and also appreciate the constructive advise from my buyers. Communication is all that is needed. Any negative rating does not help me nor does it help other buyers. I am a caring seller who looks out for my buyers. My customers are my top priority as you can clearly tell from my 100% feedback score as well as my high rating. I strive for happy buyers and have made many e-bay friends and return buyers through the years.

INSURANCE: Ebay's new rules regarding shipping insurance does not allow the seller to give the buyer an option to choose insurance. Sellers are expected to add it within their shipping costs if they wish. I will only add insurance to the shipping cost for higher priced and/or breakable items. I do have insurance included with this item ($1.75). Delivery Confirmation is automatically added for $.20 on every item I sell within the USA. This charge is included in the shipping/handling cost. Please note that I never charge packaging and I never charge handling fees even though I professionally package each item with packaging materials!
