Continuing my annual tribute in historic recordings, I offer what is perhaps one of the most extraordinary collaborations of exile/emigre composers working in World War II Los Angeles: the elusive and exceptional GENESIS SUITE.

A project initiated by the famous radio conductor, Nathaniel Shilkret, The Genesis Suite, a very modern musical interpretation of Genesis from The Bible... brings together the original and very interesting collaborative work of Arnold Schoenberg, Ernst Toch, Igor Stravinsky, Darius Milhaud and several other notable Exiled in Paradise composers.......

With narration reminiscent of the closing section of Gurre Lieder, the narrator is Edward Arnold.

Under the musical leadership of the great Werner Janssen and his Symphony, this set is ...extremely scarce...complete.

This one, I am pleased to share is as near to MINT as you will ever locate in 2008.
