SCHUBERT 'PIANO QUINTET IN A MAJOR "THE TROUT"' 1959 STEREO LP.

Released on Decca SXL 2110.

Wide band grooved label with 'ORIGINAL RECORDING..." at 10 o'clock [ED0/ED1a label].

This label is the "pancake" label with the groove 5mm. in from the rim of the label rather than the more normal groove position of 1.5cm from the edge.

Play grades as EX or better throughout.

There is a little very short lived, very light background noise in just a few places across both sides and the occasional 'isolated' single 'tic'. There are no surface marks visible when the LP is tilted in normal daylight and under strong halogen lights.

Front laminated sleeve grades as EX-.

Would have been a solid EX but some of the laminate has begun to lift near the opening [see photo] and there is a small top edge split [2cm] off the opening.

I dispatch records in brand new, bought in mailers designed for the process. Before placing in the mailer I take LPs out of the sleeve place both in a polysleeve and between two card stiffeners and if there is a picture sleeve I place the LP in a plain sleeve to prevent knifing of the picture sleeve. [all this costs £0.80/single LP].

I USE RECORD COLLECTOR GRADINGS AND USE A +/- WHERE I FEEL THAT IT'S APPROPRIATE.

(M) MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed should be mint.

(EX) EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of being played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging may have slight wear and/or creasing.

(VG) VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

(G) GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

(F) FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

(P) POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

(B) BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.  

I normally ship within 1/2 working days of receipt of payment.

All items are shipped using Royal Mail and I always obtain proof of posting for items.

United Kingdom shipments should arrive in 2-5 business days from date of shipping.

For International buyers, shipping is by air mail and shipments should arrive in 5- 10 business days from date of shipping.

Delivery times are approximate, they are in business days after the item is shipped. Also please be aware, especially for International shipping, that circumstances beyond my control after shipping can cause delays.
