Description

SDD 1 DEMONSTRATION Test Record STEREOPHONIC EMI ASD SAX

EMI Demonstration Test Record.

Sound Effects and Musical Excerpts, mostly Classical and Light, dating from the late 1950s.

Scarce original circa late 1950s/early 1960s UK pressed EMI stereo LP, SDD 1.

Heavy duty earliest press with white labels and gold print, redolent of the style and quality of early ASD classical pressings.

Vinyl top end VG plus, conservatively graded. Spider trail marks are visible, so the disc has been played a few times. Surfaces are still bright and glossy however, and display just enough minor hairlines and scuffs to escape an EX grade.

Labels are clean, bright and undefaced.

Original Emitex inner sleeve in excellent condition without marks, browning or splitting.

Fully laminated Wood, Rozelaar sleeve with visible rear flipbacks a solid VG. Sleeve is of the earlier more flimsy variant and has subsequently shown some wear over the years. The main panels are still overall bright and clean with just a touch of age darkening, a few specks of dark marks and a touch of ringwear darkening. A tiny red pen mark to rear panel. A closed nick, a little creasing and some laminate chipping to entry side. Corners a little worn. A centre seam split with scuffing to centre of spine, overall area of damage measures around an inch.
