SEA STONE - MIRRORED DREAMS

Rare under the radar and underrated psych gem on private PLANKTON label, now becoming much sought after

Year/Label : 1978 PLANKTON UK Label number : SPB 1005 STEREO Matrix numbers :  SPB 1005 A - 1G, SPB 1005 B - 1G Stampers : 1 G  /  1 G
Excellent plus (EX+) condition vinyl - 1978 private press vinyl on the PLANKTON label : flat, weighty and retaining it's original jet black lacquered sheen and in normal daylight comes across as completely unmarked - a real gleamer. It is only with very close inspection under a bright light that just a few small and extremely faint paper scuff lines can be identified - purely superficial of course. The labels are again excellent plus (EX) - near perfect in fact, with the only marks being two small and very faint spindle trails next to the centre hole on the side 2 label. Clearly, this is a record that has been played only very sparingly.  An excellent (EX) condition fully laminated outer sleeve with firm edges completely devoid of any scuffing, including the spine with all spine text remaining nicely intact.The corners remain near perfect with barely any rubbing, the opening edges are firm with no fraying, and all colours, text and beautiful art work remain in excellent shape with great definition still. The only blemishes are an 8 cm mild crease located at the front side bottom right corner, a 4cm very light surface laminate crease towards the top edge, and nine 1-2cm non-obvious laminate surface creases/crinkles adjacent and perpendicular to the top and bottom edges and spine. The reverse side is difficult to fault. Excellent plus (EX+) stereo sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats, clicks, distortion or background crackle. Great tone and clarity with every track a great listen. Comes with original and excellent condition "MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN" plain white inner sleeve with correct "PATENT NO..." text, no splits or edge fraying and just a little very mild surface creasing. Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original.    Long lost and very hard to find psych gem and difficult to believe that this copy is 47 years of age.
POSTAGE COSTS :

For the UK £3.64 using Royal Mail tracked 48, ebay "Simple Delivery";

for continental Europe £11 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for,

and for the rest of the world £17 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for.

I do provide posting and packaging discounts for multiple purchases. I make no profit from postage.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.

A bit about myself : I have been collecting UK vinyl for over 55 years from a variety of sources : my own collection, friends and family, car boot and garage sales, door-to-door leaflets, and even through placing an advert in my wife's shop window! My ebay feedback speaks for itself so rest assured that you are buying from a trusted seller and in the very unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase just e-mail me and I will sort out the problem. I offer a "no questions asked" refund policy. If you require any further information, including photos, then let me know and I'll do my best to oblige. There is NO RESERVE on this item. Richard
