Cleaning out my closet, up for grabs is the super rare Brian Jonestown Massacre Not If You Were The Last Dandy On Earth. Limited edition of 300 copies.
I am the original owner and big fan. Have been following BJM during the 90’s and purchased this directly from the band, then placed in record storage until today. Black vinyl is factory sealed, never opened or played, in perfect condition! See below for details:
The grooves on side B are extremely tight and cause very easy needle slippage.
This is a The Dandy Warhols-themed release. The song "Not If You Were The Last Dandy On Earth!" is a direct response to the Dandys' 1997 hit single "Not If You Were The Last Junkie On Earth", which was widely known to be about Brian Jonestown Massacre bandleader Anton Newcombe, although some say it is in regards to a female acquaintance of Courtney Taylor's.
Title for track A is taken from release cover and comparison with the album version. Track B is untitled, but is 30 minutes of Anton talking about meeting The Dandy Warhols early in their career and that group's subsequent music industry success while he DJs various records underneath his story.
