SEALED COPY
RCA LSP-3766 STEREO PRESSING SEALED COPY!!
NEVER OPENED, SO EITHER BLACK OR GOLD LABEL
This auction is for a very rare SEALED COPY of Jefferson Airplane Surrealistic Pillow. This album is factory sealed with the original shrink wrap & by definition has never been opened. As I am not the original owner of this record, I cannot verify if the inside vinyl is either the original black or the later issued gold label. Both versions featured the exact same printed cover with a copyright date of 1967, and to the best of my knowledge have no other clue or variation of when exactly the record was pressed in the printing of the cover. I can advise that the weight of this record is a bit lighter than a similar shrinkwrapped (but opened) copy of a similar album (a 1966 version of "The Jefferson Airplane Takes Off") that does have a black label, with a weight difference of -0.8 oz.
The pictures tell a lot, and I recommend close examination of the front and rear as well as all four corners shown. As seen, there is a remnant of a price tag, and also there is a sight bit of an old glue mark near the top, but I can't find any other evidence of damage. The colors non-faded, there are no folds or other damage, and the album sits nice and flat. This record has been well cared for and will be carefully shipped in a well protected professional record shipper.
Due to the eBay restriction on low cost shipping, shipping on this album is free, and will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail to insure tracking and quicker delivery. (Priority mail is a lot faster!!).
