Description
You are bidding on an original BAT records / Audio Recorders of "Waylon Jennings" at "JD's." The amazing thing is that this is a 55 year old copy IN THE SEALED WRAP. In addition, there is some special history / provenance (and direct ties) about this particular copy that I will share with the winning bidder. From the internet:
Waylon at JD's is the debut album by American country music artist Waylon Jennings. Though listed in several sources as a live recording, it is in fact a studio album, recorded at Arizona Recorders in Phoenix on December 4, 1964.
Wikipedia indicates:
His records had little success because A&M's main releases were folk music rather than Country. He had a few hits on local radio in Phoenix, with Ian Tyson's "Four Strong Winds" and "Just To Satisfy You", which was co-written with Bowman. Meanwhile, he recorded an album on BAT records, called Waylon at JD's (produced by James Musil with recording engineer Jack Miller). After 500 copies were sold at the club, another 500 copies were pressed by the Sounds label.
So this is one of the 500 original copies of the album that helped start his career.
