Description

The Contortions BUY CONTORTIONS LP  (or is it BUY THE CONTORTIONS, as on the spine?)

Original 1979 ZE Canadian pressing. ZEA 33-002.

Still sealed in original factory shrink wrap. Thus, record is not graded, but cover is mint.

NY no wave, classic first album by this legendary band featuring James Chance.

No cut-out marks or holes.

Complete with ironic 88 cents price sticker from beloved record NYC store St. Marks Sounds! The sticker appears to be covering an earlier price sticker.

Bonus trivia: In the back cover photo, the intense young man staring at James Chance is reportedly the late Mark Smith (not Mark E. Smith), later of long-standing Lehigh Valley garage band the Creatures (of the Golden Dawn). The photo was taken at Philadelphia's much missed Hot Club, 21st & South Streets, on April 13, 1979.

Photos show actual record being sold.

SEALED ALBUMS ARE NOT RETURNABLE.
