GEORGE WRIGHT PLAYS THE CHICAGO THEATRE ORGAN –
Century CRDD-1060 – Direct-to-Disc –
SIMPLY STUNNING! –
Factory Sealed
If you have never heard George Wright play a Wurlitzer Organ, pull up a listening chair.
This was his favorite, the renowned Wurlitzer at the Chicago Theatre, and this is the only direct-to-disc ever recorded of it.
Simply great tonalities and presence here, as you listen to the maestro of the manuals deliver I ONLY HAVE EYES FOR YOU, ROLLER COASTER, I’LL SEE YOU AGAIN, BOJANGLES OF HARLEM, and one very fine, often called “legendary” MICKEY MOUSE MARCH. (Sit some "children" down to listen to this and watch what happens…it’s Mickey Mouse as RIDE OF THE VALKYRIES.)
The first direct-to-disc George Wright ever recorded, here factory sealed. (Note that the shrink is torn up top in two spots without travail.)
Absolutely, positively not to be missed.
For other fine records, TAS picks and hard-to-finds, please see my complete list of offerings here on eBay.
