We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. STILL FACTORY SEALED!!!! NEVER OPENED =  IN 40 YEARS

ORIGINAL PRESS = STILL FACTORY SEALED = METALLIC GOLD GATEFOLD

..........should be with TRANSPARENT GOLD VINYL.............

Original 1973 very first pressing STILL FACTORY SEALED with what should be gold vinyl and it is loaded... since it is still sealed there is no way of knowing the color, but, we feel its a good bet the GOLD vinyl is inside...has the RARE "stickers inside" sticker on outside of cellophane like first pressings had over 40 years ago... so we expect it contain the special gold transparent vinyl in metallic gold gatefold jacket with the black inner sleeve and uncut Grand Funk stickers sheet ...

"WE'RE AN AMERICAN BAND" was slightly more infectious song oriented hardrock-based than their previous work, the band plays as if it can do no wrong on this strong set. Produced by Todd Rundgren, the album spawned such gems as the rowdy and autobiographical title track, as well as such other highlights as "The Railroad," "Stop Looking Back," and "Ain't Got Nobody."

They lost the 'Railroad' in their name but they gained a producer (Todd Rundgren) and a #1 hit single! Music critics universally hated the blue collar boys from Flint, Michigan, known as Grand Funk Railroad... while long hair, denim clad teens throughout the heartland of America craved their music. Following a long line of big-selling albums and successful tours, GFR cut We're An American Band, which is a '70's hard rock classic.

The title track is an anthem of epic proportions, that will forever withstand the test of time, while "The Railroad" is a huge cult favorite, the tracks within bleed emotion. "Black Licorice", pays homage to a beautiful ebony woman, while "Walk Like a Man" is an infectious track, featuring chest beating vocals from drummer Don Brewer. Grand Funk Railroad were one of the biggest and most popular hard rock groups of the early to mid 70's, they were topping the charts and selling out concerts, and few hard rock bands could do without writing a sappy love song. However, nowadays when the topic of discussion is "legendary hard rock bands", Grand Funk Railroad rarely get mentioned, because they weren't as influential as say, Led Zeppelin or Van Halen. However, this shows Grand Funk at their full potential, and this is widely considered their most popular, even best, album.

We're An American Band was produced by Todd Rundgren and moved major units ~
