Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (cat# MFSL 1-061)
RARE Sealed Original 1981 Audiophile Pressing
This is a new, original, sealed 1981 Mobile Fidelity pressing of Aqualung, the quintessential LP by Jethro Tull (cat # MFSL 1-061). The jacket and cover are mint. As you can see in the detailed photos, the shrinkwrap is torn at the top of the spine but there is absolutely no damage to the cover.
MFSL is famous for using the original master studio tape & transferring it at 1/2 speed to capture every nuance of the recording. The records are specially plated & pressed in Japan by JVC with their highest quality vinyl which produces maximum clarity, an extra-quiet album and a playing lifespan 5x longer than standard mass-produced vinyl. This copy was purchased at the time of it's release, never opened and carefully stored away. There is a large tear in the shrinkwrap along 1/5th of the spine, otherwise the actual album and the rest of the cover are 100% mint as you should expect - absolutely pristine!
