Sealed copy of this rare and extremely hard to get Funk Soundtrack. Solomon King on Sal/Wa Records. Features the tune "Theme from Solomon King" which is a hard driving Funk burner! Drums are extreme, Wah Wah Guitar, Strings, Bass, and more... just a great song. Other tunes include "Changes" which is sung by Helena Hollins who had a monster Funk hit on the Stonegood label.
Musicians include James Carmichael, Charles Richard Cason, Arthur Wright, super LA and Bay Area producer and arranger Rene Hall, Bill Henderson, Jimmy Lewis and more...
Movie was starring Sal Watts (whose label this record came out on, Samaki Bennett from the Variations who recorded on the local Oakland label Amour, Oakland Blues legend Tiny Powell who recorded on Ocampo, Wax, and Early Bird, and Tito Fuentes from the SF Giants.
