Description

New/Old Stock sealed LP - early 1980s "The Nice Price" series reissue of The Byrds "Sweetheart Of The Rodeo" Columbia 9670 featuring the late, great Gram Parsons.
Originally released in 1968, the 6th LP from The Byrds became the first major album widely recognized as country rock, and represented a stylistic move away from the psychedelic rock of the band's previous LP, The Notorious Byrd Brothers.
Sleeve has some edge/ring wear from storage as well as some bending due to the sealed shrink, plus some creases on the corners, especially on back top and bottom right corners. I have tried to highlight these in the photos- front cover still looks great. Record is assumed unplayed in as-issued condition.
For what it's worth, I have heard good things in general about these Columbia re-issues. From the Steve Hoffman forums: "I found also that depending on the amount of pressing runs on a particular title, you might get the same mastering as on earlier pressings. I have also found that by this point in time (the 80's) the vinyl quality was significantly better... better than say an original pressing from the 70's when the oil crisis impacted the quality of vinyl pressing in the US."
