SEALED/Beatles' 65 mono original contract LP/very bright and Clean/Cap T 2228

Capitol T2228 by the Beatles: Beatles' 65. Overall this is a beautiful and sparkling copy of the Beatles' 65 mono LP, which is still factory sealed. This was identified at the recent Austin record show by Gary of Rockaway records in L.A.,  an acknowledged Beatles expert, as a contract pressing. Meaning it wasn't pressed at Capitol because they're plants were operating at full capacity, and still not filling orders fast enough, so outside pressing plants were contracted to press copies to meet the demand. This LP doesn't have a number beside the RIAA stamp at bottom right, and doesn't have the normal breath holes in the shrink wrap that a Capitol LP would have. Those two omissions identify it as having been pressed somewhere other than a Capitol pressing plant. The jacket and platter inside make a heavy package, that's not warped by tight shrink wrap,  and lies flat on a table. This inner sleeve s barely visible but looks orange in color. If you are a serious Beatles collector and want all the variations of a particular LP in your collection, here's an opportunity to own a contract pressing. Please see the condition section and the pictures for complete condition details. Grade Still Sealed.
