SEBASTIAN “Rays Of the Sun” Rare Canadian Acid Folk Psych lp Listen!
1969/Canada/MCA Records MCA-7001….. here’s a very nice original pressing of this rare Canadian folkk psych lp. The cover is in the shrink and in strong VG++ condition with a delete hole top left corner and a couple of corners have light wear, the shrink has a bit of bin wear and some old stickers have been removed and other than the delete hole it's very clean, and solid with no splits. The vinyl is in glossy VG++ condition with some light sleeve scuffs/scratches. The record great with a little noise here, at cue and there and between tracks. The record plays with clean fidelity. A nice copy of this rare Canadian psych lp! Please check my auctions for other rock and psych lp’s. Good luck and thanks for looking!
Deep folkish psych rarity by Quebec born Sebastian with lavish arrangements by Roger Gravel are like Darius meets Scott Walker. Great songs, long and short, and with superb vocal melodies with acid leads, sitar, and ’67 “Peppery” feel on some tracks. “Soaring psychedelic pop from the late 60s Canadian scene — pretty grandly arranged with bursts of brass, and strings, lavish vibes all around that really going all out with what sounds harpsichord, sitar and more, but with a gritty underbelly and a chiming groove. It’s a strange mix of sounds, with big catchy choruses and poppier aspects, and also more baroque touches. We’re not sure if Sebastian was reaching for The Animals, or Scott Walker, or both, but we’re digging the disjointed effects!” (Dusty Groove)

MINT: as stated with no defects
NEAR MINT: as stated near Mint!, or Mint Minus, same thing, very clean with no defect to sound or visual appearance, one scuff or mark may be permitted but it will be mentioned in the description, a near Mint record looks and plays very clean
EXCELLENT: not much below near Mint, may have a delete hole and/or a minor defect or two not visually detracting from the cover, the vinyl will appear shiny and in clean condition with very minor defects not affecting the sound, still very clean and very collectable!
VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal cover wear and/or delete/splits, still visually appealing, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have some minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much
VG+ a little more cover/ring wear and delete, splits etc., the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects, both cover and vinyl no matter the condition.
