Plays VG+
Excellent Buckeye beat from August 1968. “Please Don’t Go” is a killer slab of catchy bubblegum punk garage with great jangly guitar and rudimentary teen guy harmonies. Woulda made one heck of a good Ramones cover. “Please Don’t Go,” on the other hand, is a slow burning bit of downer garage that sounds like a basement band take on Love’s “ Signed DC.” He wrote a great garage pop song, and she left him anyway. Another sad story from the bowels of Ohio.
