Description
DOMESTIC $ 5 PLUS $ 1 EACH INTERNATIONAL $ 21 PLUS $ 7 EACH Seducer formed in 1981. By 1984 they released an EP titled Indecent Exposure a 4 track gem that got little promotion but moderate success on Thunder Bolt Records . This allowed them to release in 1985 the album Caught In The Act.
Seducer played a mix of melodic speed metal and traditional heavy metal.
Seducer were known for their quick and energetically sounding numbers such as "Do not Fall in Love (Rock n 'Roll)" and "On the Run" which had their trademark raw and fancy guitar solos played by Hunt in a double role. Sometimes they sounded like RAVEN mixed with MOTORHEAD like on "Wednesday". The composition "The Creeper" is great horror metal Alice Cooper style . While "Call Your Name " is a more traditional melodic heavy metal and "Take you Home" plays a very simple but distinctive repetitive riff with bass guitar supportive and loud drums doing merciless confusion in the foreground.
Next is a nice shot piece called "Do You Believe?" then a great sharp instrumental sharp "Rollercoaster" which ends with a searing solo. Echoes of the American heavy metal of that period is captured in the song "Halloween" . Then the band does it` own heavy metal interpretation of "Remember (Walkin 'in the Sand)" a group KISS sound. Next is "Blizzard" where it`s every bit of psychedelic hard rock with Hunt as a singer.
The album production sound is harsh and at times raw which is very much fashioned for NWOBHM . The record aroused great interest by the public and seducer soon recorded their second album, "Eads Down - See You At The End".
