Description

Welcome! Here is a first UK press of Sensational Alex Harvey Band Framed (Vertigo 6360 081). This was the first SAHB album, and has the coveted Vertigo swirl. And, it is in super condition!

Matrix numbers and mother/stamper codes are:

Side 1: 6360081 1Y//1?480 11 3 04.

Side 2: 6360081 2Y//1?480 11 3 04.

Using the Record Collector grading system, what do we have here?

Sleeve: The unlaminated gatefold sleeve grades Excellent. There is very minor toning to the far right of the front, the far left of the reverse, and the far left of the inside of the gatefold, all corresponding to the areas where fingers would touch this. To the immediate right of the word ‘Framed’ on the front, there is a very minor crease and some very slight lightening to the surface; perhaps a price sticker was removed from this area. There is only the most minor corner wear, with a wee bit more ear to the very top of the spine. The white portion of the inside of the gatefold has only mild toning. The die-cut “Alex” window on the front is very sharp along all edges; ditto the inside edge where the record is inserted.

Vinyl: The vinyl grades Excellent. This WOULD be Mint-, were it not for a minor scratch on Track 3, Side 2, which results in light ticks for several revolutions. Really not bad, as SAHB is blasting “Hole in Her Stocking” during that time! Other light marks do not affect playback at all. And the sound quality is VERY good! Really, I think only a total condition freak would find this vinyl lacking; I’M a total condition freak, and it sounds good to me!

Labels: Both swirl labels are strong, with average spindle tracking on both labels.

Inner Sleeve: This album has its original plastic-lined Vertigo swirl inner sleeve! It has typical age discoloration and glue stains, a seam split on one side, and the beginning of a seam split along the bottom.

And, in the end: This is a solid example of “Framed” on the swirl label. Whether you buy my album or someone else’s, do NOT settle for a “spaceship” label; go for the swirl! But if you are reading this, you are sophisticated enough to know this. Please e-mail me with any questions.

Returns: Full return privileges (less shipping and listing fee) if dissatisfied, but I bet you won’t be! Please pay by PayPal. Thanks and good luck!

About Me: I am not a dealer, but a longtime collector in the occasional process of dispersing my collection of English and German prog, rock, and blues albums. I have three other albums listed this week; check ‘em out!

Shipping: I will ship to ANY country on Earth! Pursuant to my statement above that I am not a dealer, I do NOT gouge anyone on shipping costs. If you are in the USA, figure on $4.00 for good ‘ol Media Mail; of course, you can do Priority, Overnight, you name it. In those situation, as well as if you live outside of the USA, I will take your item(s), with the packaging, to the post office and I will obtain multiple shipping quotes for you (fast, slow, whatever).

Insurance: I will also get an insurance quote for you. I pack things very well, but if you choose to not buy insurance, I will not be responsible if something nasty happens.

Namaste, everyone!
