TIME TO RETURN TO 45s!! This is a reasonably priced original 1976 U.K. EMI Records FIRST PRESS 45 RPM record containing the pioneering punk anthems titled 'Anarchy In the U.K.'/'I Wanna Be Me' from punk rock originators The Sex Pistols. It is EMI Records U.K. catalog number 2566. This 45 is a GUARANTEED 1976 ORIGINAL, NOT A 'REPRO' REPRODUCTION OR A LATER COLLECTOR'S PRESSING. This first pressing bears the inscription 'Produced By Chris Thomas' on BOTH SIDES of the record as can be seen in my accompanying images, A-1/B-2 stampers. The original optional center is intact and present. Visual condition of play surface is a real nice VG++ with just a very few light visible surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play. Labels have a little bit of contact wear, no other real flaws. A historic and essential component of any punk rock 45 record collection!
