Condition is great - played only twice. I’ve been the sole owner of it since 1978. It's the rarest Sex Pistols record in my collection. In fact, it's the rarest record in my collection.
This is the last copy of two I bought for a fiver each back then (a lot of money back then!). Belsen Was A Gas is without doubt, the Sex Pistols most outrageous song ever, if not the world’s - even the name 'Sex Pistols' was so bad they released this under the leading moniker 'Rotten Role'.
Later, Messrs Cook & Jones re-recorded a version with train robber Ronnie Biggs - but nothing beats this original gutter-sniping version with Sid on bass (who wrote it) and of course, sung by Johnny Rotten, sounding more venomous and verminous than ever.
The Sex Pistols could never last - they imploded the night they played San Fran - and Belsen was taken from this night. Get a piece of music history - it's still totally outrageous today. Punk is dead... long live Rotten Role!
