SEX PISTOLS - C'MON EVERYBODY - 7" SINGLE - GERMAN PRESSING 1979
Up for grabs is this Mega Rare Sex Pistols C'mon Everybody single.
The third and final single to appear from McLaren's master scam The Great Rock n Roll Swindle bearing the Sex Pistols name with Sid Vicious on vocal duties, Malcolm's idea to promote Sid as the Sex Pistols new front man was never going to work, the idea was Malcolm being typical Malcolm and not thinking things through.
Issued in a Vicious Burger sleeve, C'mon Everybody was Sid Vicious sticking his biker boots square in the teeth of the Eddie Cochran standard, beefy guitar's and a one take vocal by Sid easily wiping the floor with the original, it was Punk and Roll with an added two fingered salute.
The flip side was the awful God Save The Queen Symphony where matters were made even worse as it was the instrumental version without the Fagin inspired McLaren vocal overdub, a small redeeming fact was the inclusion of Watcha Gonna Do About It which saved it from being the b.side from hell.
McLaren was keen to promote the hell outta Vicious as this was almost his last roll of the dice with all Sid's Swindle vocal tracks now issued as singles, there was nothing left but a final 12" which did see the light of day when all three tracks were released again as Sid's Heritage in France on his dodgy Matrixbest label and imported by the truck load.
Anyway back to the single as with all German records at the time the sleeves were printed on thin glossy paper stock and were easily damaged, this has been cared for, minimal storage / use wear to the sleeve, and unexpected for a record of this age, the vinyl itself is a great example, this has been looked after very well, it doesn't look 40 plus years old.
Nothing to not like about this excellent record, a Very fine addition to any Sex Pistols collection of note.
As always the photos are the best description of all, miss this and I doubt another this good a quality will surface anytime soon.

This single is selling on collector's sites anywhere between £30 - £40 depending where you like to shop so grab a bargain.
