SEX PISTOLS "SILLY THING" first GERMAN PRESSING 1979
Up for grabs is this Rare Sex Pistols Silly Thing 7" single.
The first German pressing featuring another two tracks from the Swindle, Silly Thing was Cook N Jones in the studio writing new material after the demise of the Sex Pistols, it could've been seen as the very first Professionals track but whatever side of the fence you sit it doesn't detract from the fact it's an absolutely fantastic track, it has to be arguably the 'BEST' swindle track of them all.
Backed with the stupid and absurd Who Killed Bambi, a track that features no sex pistol of any kind on it, it was a ridiculous song with an even more ridiculous vocal by Eddie Tenpole Tudor, it was one of Malcolm's mad ideas that never really worked but it was recorded for the film so why not use it right.?
Interesting little note, on this pressing the song titles and Sex Pistols logos are printed as they appear on the record sleeve and are not the usual type face style.
As with all German records at the time the sleeves were printed on thin glossy paper stock and were easily damaged, this has been cared for, minimal storage / use wear to the sleeve.
Unexpected for a record of this age, the vinyl itself is a great example, this has been looked after very well, it doesn't look like it's 44 years old.
Nothing to not like about this excellent record, a Very fine addition to any Sex Pistols collection of note.
As always the photos are the best description of all, miss this and I doubt another this good a quality will surface anytime soon.
