Spanning the whole of the a-side, "Blood on My hands" kicks off with the willful presets one might associate with another genre altogether, late night Detroit lounge business or even the midnight chimes of some kind of mutant R&B - that's before the bassline drops. Keeping the mood decidedly blue, it's is just impossibly deep, a padded bottom-end sub that seems to re-draw battle lines, every now and again throwing a massively delayed snare into the mix for maximum impact. The flipside doesn't quite reach the same dizzy heights, sticking to a more familiar agenda while retaining the minimal coda across two solid tracks, but it's the a-side that makes this an exceptional Shackleton delivery - probably his best.
