SHACKLETON/DEMDIKE STARE

Archive Series #1 (1-sided 12" + cassette + tote bag)

Demdike Stare

Cat: DDS 012. Rel: 8 Jun 15
Deep Dubstep

Side 1. Shackleton - Track 1 Side 2. Demdike Stare - Track 2 Side 3. Demdike Stare - Track 3

Fans of Sam Shackleton, stand up! Demdike Stare's DDS label do everyone a great service and issue a decade old dubplate produced by Shackleton in the deepest, darkest days of early Skull Disco. If you were in attendance you may have vague memories of this vicious VIP cut which by our estimation samples Cutty Ranks and slows him right down over a dank halfstep sewer beat. As the recent Berceuse Heroique issue of some Loefah dubs attested, there is still a clear market for these early dubstep tracks and the fact this is called Archive Series #1 suggests DDS may have more up their sleeve. Issued with a new hour long mix from Demdike Stare with both housed in a screen-printed DDS tote bag.
