  Shakin’ Stevens and the Sunsets – A Legend
Shakin’ Stevens, also known as “Shaky” (born Michael Barratt, 4 March 1948) is a platinum selling Welsh rock and roll singer and songwriter. His recording and performing career began in the late 1960s, although it was not until 1980 that he saw commercial success in his native land. In the UK alone he has charted no fewer than 33 top 40 hit singles in the sales charts.
This is a great copy of the very rare and original debut album by Shakin’ Stevens and the Sunsets.

The album is on Parlophone Records, PCS 7122. Matrix side one: YEX 795-1G (stamped). Matrix side two: YEX 796-1G (stamped).
Released in 1970. UK pressing. Stereo.
Condition: (as Record Collector’s grading system. If I see a mark it will be mentioned however light/small, apart from the usual very light paper scuffs/marks - usually caused by record being removed from the inner sleeve, which appear on nearly all old records and which are only visible under strong light)
Vinyl side 1: very good (a few superficial marks are visible that do not affect the audio in any way, plays without fault).
Vinyl side 2: excellent (a few light wispy superficial marks are visible that do not affect the audio in any way, plays without fault. ‘Factory Sample not for sale’ sticker on label).
Cover (front laminated, flip-back): very good (some corner wear, bit of discolouring/aging on the back - see photos below).
The record plays with no jumps, skips or clicks and minimal crackle.
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
