SHANGRI-LAS 65!
THE SHANGRI-LAS
RED BIRD 20-104 (US mono LP)
Red Bird Records was fond of getting maximum mileage in their long-players. This was the first issue of the second LP by the cult girl group THE SHANGRI-LAS. The thundering Spector-esque "Dum Dum Ditty" would be replaced by the psycho-drama "I Can Never Go Home Anymore" when the album was reissued with that subsequent title. Here's a well-loved but still serviceable copy of this debut version.
Condition:
JACKET: Medium-to-heavy ringwear, rubwear and scuffs to front panel. Spine intact, with all text legible. Corners are stubbed but intact. Bottom seam is frayed and split 1.5". Top seam intact.
Back panel has rubwear and discoloration, but entire panel is present and legible. Overall, this sleeve is a solid VG+.
VINYL: Vinyl shows definite signs of play and handling. Multiple light surface scuffs and smudges. A good cleaning will do this record a world of good. Right now, it rates a strong VG++.
This is just one of a special collection of the rarest, most desirable PHIL SPECTOR and GIRL GROUP LPs you’ll ever see on eBay—all from the legendary collection of DAVID A. YOUNG! Grab ‘em before they’re gone—you won’t see their likes again!
