I CAN NEVER GO HOME ANYMORE
THE SHANGRI-LAS

RED  BIRD 20-104 (US mono LP)

Exit “The Dum Dum Ditty,” enter the intense runaway psychodrama of the new title track to his reconfigured Shangri-las ’65! With a much better cover, and a stunning strong track list, this is the Shang’s finest long-player. It’s more than an after-thought for completists!

Condition:

JACKET: Two small cut-out holes to upper left corner. Light stress lines and scuffs to front panel. Colors are bright and solid. Spine intact, with all text legible. Corners are stubbed but intact. Both seams intact.

Back panel complete and clean. Light rubber-stamping at lower right. Overall, this sleeve is a solid VG+++.

VINYL: As seems common with some Red Bird products, the labels have fallen off! Guess they cut corners on the glue they used? Both labels are intact, and in great shape. They’ll be enclosed in a separate envelope. Labels read SHANGRI-LAS 65.

Vinyl is generally clean and glossy, with a few minor imperfections. Kind of interesting to see a label-less record album! I just played the opening track to make sure it’s the right record—and it is! A cleaning will push this disc into a higher grade. Right now, it rates a strong VG+++.

This is just one of a special collection of the rarest, most desirable PHIL SPECTOR and GIRL GROUP LPs you’ll ever see on eBay—all from the legendary collection of DAVID A. YOUNG! Grab ‘em before they’re gone—you won’t see their likes again!
