SHANGRI-LAS-65 Red Bird 1965 LP yellow labels are clean! This is Classic 60's Girl-group Pop! Vinyl is VISUALLY Graded: Side 1 vinyl looks VG++ and the intros were spot checked for sound quality, with only light unobtrusive surface noise that's only noticeable during the dead-wax between the cuts and during the intros or quiet parts. Side 2 vinyl looks VG+ with some hardened fingerprint schmutz in some sections. We will leave it up to the buyer to attempt any serious removal since using any significant amount of alcohol could leach the plasticisers from the vinyl compound and possible increase any surface noise. This side has a bit more noise, it's still un-obtrusive and intermittent but it is more noticeable on parts of the songs in the middle of this side. No loud pops or scratches however. On both sides the sound is still great, with TREMENDOUS Deep Natural Bass and lower frequencies. The highs are crisp and the overall fidelity is excellent. These MONO pressings were really WELL-MASTERED and the sessions were WELL-RECORDED... it's an analog vinyl-lovers delight! The jacket VG to VG+ with light even shelf-wear / ring-wear, not a deep ring, and the artwork still looks great. The upper-right corner has a lightly stained black on white record company sticker, there's edge-wear and corner wear, and the lower seam is split about 3 inches in from the lower-right corner, plus some fraying near the lower-left corner. There are a few nicks and other small sections of fraying, but the spine and top edge are basically intact. We added a modern poly-lined innersleeve to protect the sound quality of the vinyl. There's no writing or price-stickers, and the pencil style portraits of the girls look awesome. The singing and music speaks for itself and is FABULOUS!
