Description

You will be bidding on a direct disc recording that has never been touched by a stylus. It is one of the much sought-after and highly collectible Sheffield Lab series. It features the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra's performance of excerpts from Prokofiev's "Romeo and Juliet" ballet. It is the complete un-edited performance conducted in 1978 by Erich Leinsdorf. It is a beautiful package with an interesting booklet containing great photos of Leinsdorf and the orchestra and information about the composition and the technical methodology used in creating a direct disc recording. Almost everything that Lincoln Mayorga's small but impressive Santa Barbara-based company packaged was first-rate. Audiophiles and lovers of great recorded music should perk up when they see this item for sale. Thanks for you interest and good luck bidding.
