THE SHEFFIELD TRACK RECORD -
Direct-to-Disc Sheffield Lab-20 -
SIMPLY INCREDIBLE! -
Recommended by TAS
Absolutely, positively without question, this is, among all the Sheffield direct-to-discs, the one most audiophiles reach for when someone needs to hear what bass is like in a system.
This is the Bill Schnee marvelous recording of a rock group of five, that included keyboards and guitar -- but it's the drums, the synthesizers, and the bass everyone wants to hear.
Watch your volume, please. Very fine copy, through and through, near mint all the way.
TWO AUDIOPHILE NOTES: I kid you not, an audiophile friend, just for fun, places the following sign on his front door whenever he plays this record:
"FOR THE NEXT HOUR NO ONE WILL BE ADMITTED INTO THE LISTENING AREA." Thank You, The Management.
Better yet, here’s how Harry Pearson of TAS put it:
“Absolutely the best sounding rock record ever made.”
For other fine records, TAS picks and hard-to-finds, please see my complete list of offerings here on eBay.
Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $16 via airmail for the first LP, $4 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
