Description
Shirley Collins 1964 UK Collector Records EP JEB 9 'English Songs Vol 2' with Robin Hall on guitar.
The clean Garrod sleeve (pre Garrod & Lofthouse?) has the front and flipbacks laminated with a plain but glossy back if that makes sense. Usually such backs attract grubbiness over time but this one is ok as pictured.
No splits, tears or writing but there is a hint of ringwear along with minor rubbing on the corners and a few miniscule marks on the front laminate.
By way of grading then I give the sleeve 7.5 /10 condition with respect to the cosmetic blemishes.
On to the vinyl which is flat and shiny and weighs in at 43g on my scale. Super clean white labels with a piece of the paper missing on the rim of Side A as pictured but this is how it came off the production press from new.
And I'm inspecting the label centre holes under my bright table lamp with a magnifier and I can't see any spindle marks to indicate this disc has ever had a sniff of a record turntable. Plus the playing surfaces look soooo good. In my opinion this vinyl has never been played but it's been in existence for decades so it can't be mint yet has to be a solid near mint or in 9 /10 for condition if you prefer numbers!
Note it comes with the original plain white paper inner sleeve but I'll put the disc in a 7" shaped polythene sleeve for ultimate protection for both shipping and keeping.
